They don't need to fawn for ratings like the Sportsnet losers.
Well, all this charity sure did not prevent them from declaring that the Oilers are on the cusp of becoming a half-decade dynasty.

Posting to show face. Overall a successful season in beating LA and Calgary but tough series loss. Can’t say much except Colorado easily deserved to win. They were the better team and are a powerhouse. Makar is an absolute stud and imo is the best defenseman in the nhl. What a player. Draisaitl especially playing on one leg was maybe the best I’ve seen him play.

Enjoy the summer CP. Stay safe. cheers.

So the Oilers had only one more home game of revenue than the Flames. Maybe it will help cover paying Lucic + Neal + Sekera + Tippett.

Cale Makar is something else. I remember he got drafted out of Brooks of the AJHL... how does that even happen? What a stud in any case.

That was fun to watch. I think I enjoyed that more than I would have if it was Flames-
Avs. They would have beat the doors off us too I think.

I have to give some credit to Draisaitl for his incredible ability to rack up points despite what looked to me to be obvious illness plus an ankle injury. How you can still have that offensive output playing with those obvious limitations is beyond me.

I'll also give some credit to Smith because - as much as he's a bag of pickles - I have to admire the competitive fire he's got that allows him to be playing in the WCF when his contemporaries are all working on our beer bellies.

But the real accolades belong to MacKinnon and Makar. Just unbelievably complete players. It's most impressive from Makar given his age. He could literally perform at this level or better for another decade. How he wasn't touted as a potential generational player at the draft is beyond me.

I think of the Avs had better goaltending, they'd stomp whoever comes out of the east. But whoever they face it should be an entertaining final.

definitely a convoluted franchise history- win the cup the first year in Denver, and really a league flagship for a decade, then into some win some lose some, then a 9 year stretch where they miss 7 times- including a few years where they are truly awful (almost always coinciding with a great player available to them, and then the mixed in there are a few years where they were awesome)...now a good solid climb

This one feels good! Karma still exists to not let that D bag Kane anywhere near a championship. Also, so glad we won’t have to see McDavid’s face every moment on SN (yet I’m sure they will try to work it in somehow)

Fewest games to reach 50 playoff points…by a defenceman.

Orr- 39

Leetch-41

Makar- 49

Having a week+ off may work against the Avs. Just ask the Lightning.

Best comment I’ve seen:

Wow I never would have guessed a distinct kicking motion would have lead to a full sweeping motion

And Bedner was on thin ice more than a few times these past years but managed to survive.
