It's kinda nice to know that despite the NHL's best efforts to the contrary, sometimes the good guys can win.

...no one sees a problem in celebrating the team that kicked our ass getting their ass kicked? Yeah yeah oilers, whatever, but it makes me think the flames are pretty freaking far from any meaningful success and I was already pretty bearish. I'm glad the Oilers are out but jeez, they played three teams this playoffs and we were by far their easiest opponent.

Couldn't see a second of the game as I'm stuck at work- saw it was 4-2 greasers in the third and thought it was over. Then I saw it was going to OT.
What a sweet, sweet ending. Bye bye Smith and fellow losers. Mcgoldenboy can only carry your team so far. Nice work Kane sitting in the press box instead of helping your team you scumbag.
Things are right in the world again.

And the Oilers season ends with not a bang, but a whimper.

The league and refs tried to give them every advantage with 5 power plays to Colorado's 2. The refs also ignored 4 or 5 blatant penalties on the Oilers.

So to be a classy as possible Flames fan. Screw you Oilers, you deserved to lose, you're awful, and your window is closed. Good luck with your cap next year. You signed a scumbag and you died like scumbags

Good Riddance.

Flames had a choke job for the ages. Pound for pound, the flames are the better team. Begs the question, is better to have been good and choked or be no good and gag? We all know the answer.

Nope. No problem at all. We sucked and didn't deserve to move on. That's the difference between being a Flames fan and a Dumpsville fan and unless we lose our top two players next year we will be better. We can be objective.

Now we're going to hear all the oilers excuses about how injured they all were and what heroes nurse and leon were for persevering. All teams are injured at this point, but we're supposed to feel extra sorry for the oilers. Nope.

The Flames are a good team that played some of their worst hockey at a bad time. It's not like the Flames played their best and lost. If the Flames played their best the Oilers are out in Round 2.

Pretty tough to win any series when your goaltender has an .850 SV%. I'm celebrating because the Oilers Cinderella run came to an abrupt halt as this is probably the best team they will ever have with McDavid.

The way the Flames played against the Oilers, had they squeaked out a win the AVS would have swept them too. If the Flames played their best hockey of the season, it might have been a series but I think the AVS are just better.

But none of that matters right now.

Avalanche scored 6 goals to win on the 6th day of the 6th month. Hail Satan.
