Friedman made a joke on today's 32 Thoughts podcast episode about Oiler fans complaining that he's biased against the Oilers.

He said something along the lines of "Who owns the Oilers arena? Rogers. Who owns Sportsnet? Rogers."

While funny, I think it says a lot about how Sportsnet treats the Oilers and Leafs compared to other Canadian teams.

Don always found a story around a depth player or someone you wouldn't expect to highlight and praise.

That takes more consideration and thought than just tickling McDavid's nuts segment in, segment out.

These McPanels are just lazy compared to good old HNIC broadcasts. Never any kind of real insight any more. Just Oiler fanboys fanboying.
