Dont gloss over the 'Bribing his girlfriend to get an abortion and then not paying the bribe.'

Thats a Hallmark of true class.

Should have asked for the money up-front...

Ooh I forgot that one, added to the list. It's hard to keep track of the transgressions.

Seems pretty light...imagine McDavid takes that hit and is out

It's decisions like this that keep holding the NHL back from progressing.

1 game for that hit is a farce (but I'm not surprised).

One game. Eesh. But, at least it's SOMETHING.

I do like the idea mentioned earlier...Kane's out for all the games that Kadri misses...+1.

THAT seems fair to me.

So who is still cheering for this franchise cause…Canada?

If you want to join a group of fans sticking up for a garbage human, and blaming the NHL for rigging their series because they aren’t managing it in their favor (like last series) then have at er.

Enjoy the muck you’ll be swimming in

Evander now free to put money on the Avs since he won't be playing in their elimination game.

Who here ever was?

The whole "Canada" thing is a fair weather fan sentiment imo. Anybody who watches hockey knows that 60+ percent of every team is made up of Canadians, no matter where they are based out of. I hate every other Canadian team, some more than others of course.

The Oilers should have been made to forfeit game 4.

Maybe the old "if both sides are complaining, we must be getting it right" attitude is a little off.

Hell no, I want them to have to watch their team lose the series, they don't get spared that indignity.

Well I was just predicting what the NHL would do not what I thought the suspension should be. To predict the NHL's discipline you actually have to go against the grain of logic.

Well, they set the precedent by only giving Nurse one game for the head-butt so pretty much means that a dirty and dangerous play by an oiler can't be more than 1 game.

It is almost like they are taking the lack of depth of the oilers into consideration by being light on the suspensions that 2 of their 4 NHL-quality skaters have received during the playoffs.

So, had Kadri not been badly injured Kane presumably would have received no suspension, and the injury Kadri received that put him out for at least the remainder of this series is only worth a single game. Seems kind of light.

After the Tim Peel tweet I can’t help but thinking there was some thought of Kadri deserved it when deciding on only one game.
