So far in the playoffs Kassian has been fined twice for dirtbag plays. Nurse suspended a game. And now a likely suspension for Kane. Dirtiest bunch of ######bags that has ever been assembled. Nice that the league and it's fans are starting to take notice.

That penalty was all about Smith’s loose facemask (which came off last game again).

No matter what Kane gets its a much bigger loss for the Avs who will be going to the finals possibly without one of their best players. Luckily they have good depth and if he is still out they should still be ok.

The thing is, there will always be an excuse for those losers no matter what happens. If not a Kane suspension, then they will continue to complain about the Makar onside goal in Game 2, as if THIS was the reason they were completely outclassed by Colorado. If not for that, it would be something else.

At least with a Kane suspension it would help to maintain and reinforce the persistent delusion within the organisation and among fans that the Oilers are on the cusp of winning a championship. And we all know that will never happen, which makes this even more hilarious looking in from the outside.

This sums up exactly how I feel. I don’t want to lose interest, but it’s hard to ignore the shenanigans and the fact that a league executive can just make a call without any transparency. They have to power to shape the outcomes on the ice if they so choose.
