I would rather an asteroid hit the earth and wipe out human civilization than see the oilers in the cup final.

This is correct.

What I meant to say was:

Absolutely I want to see an oilers sweep right now, that sounds glorious. I'm not as convinced that I want to see the Rangers beat Tampa because of my contempt for Fox.

Post game presser Kane asked about the kadri hit. No remorse, just called it ‘unfortunate’ that he hurt his hand. What an arrogant piece of garbage.

Might get grilled for this but the Kane hit while dangerous didn't look particularly criminal in terms of intent to me. At least not in that moment.

Who knows what goes on in the head of that psychopath though.

I kind of hope that they let him play.

And that the Avs take that opportunity to beat him to a pulp.

Of course then the Oilers turn around and complain that enough wasnt done to protect their player.

Give me game 7 quadruple overtime in the east.

I have complete faith Tampa pushes back at home.

Avs over Rags on a game winner where Fox gets burned is probably the most ideal outcome for the finals.

Oilers out in 4 while outclassed at playoff hockey goes a long way to healing my wounds from a week ago.

At least I can come to terms with the loss as the Flames beating themselves in a learning experience for the team and not the Oilers actually being good, but benefitting from the easiest path to round 3 in years with LA and then because the Flames didn't play up to their standard.

Oilers fluked out beating us they had no dam chance I consider it a catastrophe. Even if Oilers lose in 4 it still makes the feeling worse that they beat us . I really thought this was our year I'm confident we could take out the avs. Oilers will be even worse now with the cap Kane Yamamoto, nurse 9 mill Gonna be some dark times for them.were not gonna be in the best of shape if our guys don't take discount on there contracts.

I guess human civilization was resurrected in the summer of 2006.

Another year of McDavid dusted.

Even got a free 40 goal scorer from the league.

Wishing for a different outcome from what actually happened does not change what happened. I would have also preferred the end of civilization to that Oilers Cup Final in 2006, but here we are. It turned out alright in the end.

He changed direction to make the hit. To me it was a classic dangerous hit. If it wasn’t intent to injure it was at least intent to hurt and recklessness as to the result.
