So why did Lucic get 5 and a game for charging and Kane only got 5 for boarding?
Lucic let up on his hit and Smith didn't come out of the game. Kadri has yet to return in this one.

Not watching just following on twitter and saw that Kane got a major...but no game misconduct? When's the last time you've seen any major not have a game misconduct attached?
Sounds like the NHL offices are again deciding to interpret the rule book obscurely.

It is an automatic game misconduct if you get a 5 minute major for boarding and the player gets injured, according to the NHL rule book. They made an exception to that rule for Kane.
