Let's see if Ron sides with the officials here or calls for an investigation into the matter.

Cannot believe that was a goal, almost a foot offside and clear as day on camera. Karma.

Makar does not touch the puck before Nytushkin tags up.

Good call.

Except this didn’t cost them their season.

So by the puck rolling off Makar's stick there it allowed the other player to touchup like it was a delayed offside.

I don't know the rules that well...but still seemed like offside to me!

Looking forward to Ron Maclean's tears.

Good call.
I mean he pushed it ahead as he crossed and picked it up on virtually the next stick handle. I don’t think you have to be in contact with the puck at all times to have control.

But I’m OK with the call for reasons of my own.

About time the oilers got it up the rear but what is the justification for that? Seemed clear as day he was offside? Feels good to get screwed but as a fan of the game what??

What was the explanation there? Didn't have audio, but yeah... thay was as bad as the Coleman goal, just not as important.

Esseinctially they treated it like a dump in. In the split second between Makar pushing it forward and Nikushkin tagging.

Looking forward to the NHL responding to criticism of the goal by quoting the definition of offside in the NHL rulebook.

If that's not having control of the puck, I don't know what is.

That’s the right call. Makar hasn’t entered the zone yet before the offside player tags up. It’s a delayed offside.
