Maryanne did an awesome job in front of the jury. Made sense and when she whipped out that idol nobody knew she had you could see a huge reaction from the jury......well played.

The one thing about this season was just impressive how well everybody got along, even after getting voted out. Usually you have a few jerks in there but they all seemed tight. Was kinda cool.

That was definitely a better season than 41.. like a lot better. But it still wasn’t great. Pretty predictable final jury there. Once Romeo said Maryanne was going to the final 3 I would have been shocked if anyone else won.

I think she was deserving of it and did a great job selling herself at the final tribal.

Mike did not sell himself. He needed to talk more about his accomplishments, I didn’t even hear him mention his massive immunity win to get Lindsey out, who was the heavy favourite. Among everything else he accomplished. I

He seemed a bit stunned at the after show and I feel for the guy.

I agree with other peoples comments that at the end of the day we care more about the cast and their interactions than a million different twists. It’s like playing a video game that’s had a million DLCs and added so much content. Sometimes it’s fun to just go back and play the standard stock original again and remember what it’s all about.

That was a decent-ish ending to a mediocre-at-best season.

Could see that was a million dollar mistake by Romeo the second he made it. But really, even in the final four he didn't stand a snowball's choice.

I think I'd have liked to see the votes a slightly different way, going 6-2 or 5-3 for Maryanne. But she really aced the final Tribal, while Mike bobbled it.

I hope to see Lindsey and Jonathan again.

The aftershow was boring enough that I'd have turned it off, except I wanted to know what S43 would look like.

I'm still a Survivor AU convert.

Finally got a chance to watch. Even though he didn’t win, Romeo will always have a special place in my heart. To be honest I think he did ok in the final tribal. The dude had to play from the bottom the entire game so kudos to him for winning that final challenge and at least earning his spot at final three. I do think he showed a lot of personal growth and for that he won. He will have a good story to tell to the women he works with.

That said he didn’t win the game so….####

The question would have been better phrased as "Does anyone know what type of person Romeo works with?" ;p

Am I the only one disappointed in the winner? I’m not sure she did enough to win.

Still better than last season. At least she was in the game, but you can say that about multiple past winners that there was someone better who should've won. MaryAnne deserved it with that final tribal, just crushed it.

I am SO hoping they do a normal-ish season of Survivor for 43.

I prefer this condensed style.

I do to but that’s only because I don’t think I could take the longer US seasons anymore. Too much bs. It definitely was one of the better tribals and the last few episodes felt like the show was back at its roots.

But somehow the North American contestants always have to say something about something and that just kills the game. Seriously, just stick to the game, not everything is a conspiracy.

And thus why I love the AU version. They PLAY the game. I never got bored of it and they go 47 days.

I’m not sure if it’s an anomaly, but this years winner, down there, absolutely killed the final tribal. So much that they basically left no room for anyone to vote against him/her. Probably the best finale I’ve ever seen.

(Also, If people here are up for it, I’ll absolutely organize an AU survivor pool and stream it off my Plex server.)
