D....you revolutionized the Game Day Threads! Thanks for all your work putting those together during what has been the most fun season in YEARS. Looking forward to the first Penticton Tourney GDT in a few months!

Yeah great job with the GDTs bud. It was really nice to have all that pregame info in one place.

Had an idea!
|
There is only 1 winner.
End of the day everyone else will go home hurt with some soul searching to do on what it takes to win in the playoffs.
You can find similar examples of most Stanley Cup winners who had to go that route. Colorado is a great example as I think they win it all this year. Lots of failure and disappointment. All about how to take the next step.
Flames need to decide on how they will take the next step. Learn from this, retool a bit, go hard into next year. Or, sit and despair over it.

Here’s what I just posted in a similar thread.

For those who want to bash individuals with criticism and blame, I recommend stepping back and letting your emotions cool down first. Firstly, we don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes, especially the possibility of many players quietly playing through injuries.
Secondly, it’s easy to watch the game and say what the players and coaches need to do, but it’s another thing completely to be able to do it in such a high-pressure, fast-paced, and difficult league. They’re all humans who did their best and this team did not fall short from a lack of heart this season.
Cheers to the Flames for a positive step this year and here’s to hoping for more positive steps next season! When the new season starts again, I’ll be ready to cheer them on again with a fully open heart and new hope. Go Flames Go!!

Even today they are still talking about not taking penalties. No wonder they lost.

I hope there will be a Brad Treliving post season interview as well.
Also feeling for Backlund as he’s been here for a while now, need to win for that guy.

I'm hopeful for one of those season ticket holder sessions where they feed us beer, chicken wings and far too rare roast beef while Conroy and Treliving give the state of the union. Haven't had one since COVID, we're due.
