We just need a segment with Cabbie and Bald Guy now. Must be some money to be made based on the OT result.

I always thought they brought in the kicking motion rule to try to eliminate guys picking their skate up off the ice and soccer kicking the puck. So that the puck kicker doesn’t inadvertently kick a player with their skate blade.

Good thing the rule defined a distinct kicking motion too. To make sure there is no controversy.
Goal on the ice. How could they possibly call that distinct enough to overturn.

I have hundreds of hours of backlogged tv shows to watch. (Ozark, Westworld, etc etc)
The NHL is not really a viable entertainment product any more

I am still in total shock. My mind can’t understand how that’s not a goal.

Yeah for sure, or in the final 15 minute of the first OT as well.

Quoted for truth. If not for him, this series is already over.

In defense of the panel, they have a producer in their ear directing them.
A network that sponsors a player, has their name on an arena that the star player plays in, and is promoting gambling non-stop has no ability to be impartial.
#### Sportsnet and #### the NHL!

I feel like before the refs make a call on video review they should be obliged to watch it at full speed.
Hell, sportsnet should feel obliged to run it at full speed.
There's no way that's a kick in real time

Best player for the Flames in the series. Showing true leadership.

Really hope the guys can pull this out in OT. They deserve it after that horse*** call.

The only positive I can think of is this could light a fire under the team, propel them with an us vs the world mentality for OT and the rest of the series. That’s all I got.

We rarely make the playoffs and when we do we see these massive goals called back.
It's just so hard to keep coming back to the NHL

Flames have been screwed by refs long before Wideman. Even in the last battle of Alberta. Nieuwendyk's goal in Game 1 inside the post that didn't count.

I don't think it was anywhere close to a 50/50 call, but even if it was, then the call on the ice should stand.
