I'm not a big markstrom fan, but hard to blame him on much there. Flames just played dumb dumb over aggressive hockey allowing the oilers back in this.
They've abandoned the one thing that made them successful, structure. They don't deserve better in the game or the series.

Huge missed call on the Nurse goal. McDavid high sticks and cuts Hanifin in front of Calgary's net as Draisaitl carries the puck behind the net. Coleman sees Hanifin down on ice so he leaves his point to support. Draisaitl slides it to nurse for the one timer and Hanifin instead of covering McDavid at the side of the net is stuck in front screening Markstrom.
So the high stick led to the screen and the missed coverage by Coleman. And Hanifin is stuck with a minus and a cut lip.

The absolute biggest let down is Markstrom becoming early Forida Panther Markstrom at the worst time conceivable. And it isn't even close.

I think the fact that people are arguing about which defenseman is playing the worst.... shows maybe we have a problem back there when facing a really fast team. Not exactly news, but it's kinda showing here.

Draisatl should have been called for a crosscheck on backlund before the oilers 4th goal.

Not really, its almost all correctable mistakes
pinching at the wrong times and bad passes/turnovers mostly
