Just saw the replay of that third MacKinnon goal. Wow! That was a hell of a play!

Game 2 was a different situation as it wasn't the Flames coming back from 3-0 to tie it 3-3. But yeah, that double minor snuffed out any real hope of getting the 4th goal last night.

I've never understood the Lemieux goal they showed against Bourque - that thing looked like it was in slowmo compared to today's guys. No doubt his vision and shot were great but man, today's top players are so much better than the guys who used to smoke in the change rooms between shifts. lol

And this right here is what a lot of people don't seem willing to acknowledge about today's game vs hockey 30+ years ago. The game has become more physically demanding on players to play at the absolute highest level, compared to what it used to be. Despite what some would have you believe, fatigue is absolutely a factor, especially in playoffs following a condensed regular season schedule.

Games played matters. Minutes played matters. Rest matters. Freshness matters.

Gutsy win by the Blues.

Hope this goes 7, along with another series I care about

The winning goal...Bozak.

He had played 7:15 in the entire game.

It's a shame McDavid plays for the Oilers. I could really enjoy a series watching him and MacKinnon squaring off, but not if that series involves Edmonton. If only the Blues had got him instead.
