If Markstrom keeps playing the same as he did the last 2 periods he'll be fine.
I'm more concerned with the top line. Way too quiet.
Markstrom terrible opening goal
Toffoli idiotic penalty
Kylington brutal defensive play
Rasmus idiotic penalty
..........and they were still the better team.
They haven't played near their best, at all. Get the top line going, play like they can and they are winning this series.
I really hope the Oilers feel this series is over as much as so many fans do here.

All on Markstrom? Flames scored two legitimate goals tonight.
Isn't that part of the story? A lot of our forwards haven't produced outside of game 1 of this series.

Please explain the logic . He’s worried if his top 2 lines each play 2 of the last 4 mins, then have an intermission before OT …. They will be tired ?

seriously look at the back end of the oilers.
Ceci, Nurse, Russell, Keith, Barrie
Smith...
Flames are capable of a comeback in this series. Time to put their foot down and start rolling.

Mackey and Valimaaki. Not sure how they would fare. Kylington isnt playing at an NHL level in this series. Glorified AHLer.

Not that I think it will happen but wasn't Dallas like 12-0 when winning game 3? Streaks are made to be broken eventually.

I wouldn't mind if the Flames added another top 4 D man this summer. We need to get deeper. Tanev being out for the first 3 games shouldn't cost us an entire series, but so far it looks like that's exactly what's happening. Not to mention Markstrom self-imploding, which has probably been the biggest surprise of this series. Dude is a Vezina finalist FFS. What the hell happened to him?
It's not over yet though. Hopefully the Flames can find a way to win game 5 and make a series out of this. It would suck to get knocked out on home ice.

Have to give the Flames credit for coming back after being down 3-0 after the 1st period. They could have quit and mailed it in but they didn't.
Markstrom with shaky goals against has killed this team. I was suprised Marky was not replaced after the 1st with Vladar.
One game at a time is how they have to focus going forward.

To be honest, I feel pretty good they can come back. They seem to have figured McDavid out (Tanev helps huge) & we’re soured by bad goaltending. Also, now all the pressure is on Edmonton to close out the series. Weird sense of calm.

Calgary is a really good team, but not world class, these playoffs will be a really good experience for them. I think the team much like Toronto need a shake-up, a different look. Team needs better depth on the 3rd line, an upgrade at centre, call me a pessimist but I just don't see this team getting pass Edmonton or Colorado, they just don't have the horses.

I now know what a taste of being an Oilers fan is like. Imagine getting kicked in the balls like this for 15+ years. Not making the playoffs in many years after getting so many free 1st rounders and the best player in the game.
Maybe the hockey gods don’t hate us as much as they are done torturing the Oilers. A broken clock is right twice a day, it was a matter of time.
That said the Avs are going to kick them in the balls, but at least they beat Calgary.

This was a series you'd expect Matthew Tkachuk to have a huge impact in.
Instead he's been a complete no show.
If and when the Flames lose this series they gotta re-sign Johnny and trade Tkachuk for the best package they can get.
Johnny came to play in the series you'd expect him too, Tkachuk a total no show in his.
Not only does it line up with who's more important it's simple asset management.
And for peeps saying get rid of them both, do you really want to see a rebuild again next year???
