Marky deserves a chance to redeem himself. He also should be on the ice to go down with the ship.

At what point do we ask the top line to chip in some offense?
And no, I'm not excusing Marky. He's been bad.

Absolutely. We know flames top forwards deflate under pressure, they've proven it again.
Markstrom is cut from the same cloth unfortunately.

When we blew a 6-2 lead in the first game - but still managed to win it really set the tone for this series. Everything from markstrom to the skaters has been panicky, not confident hockey, and the oilers are feasting on that.

Okay, that was a huge save by Marky. Need more of those.

The Flames give a ##### factor has simply disappeared.
Should have just lost to the Stars, wouldn't have felt as bad as this.

Up 3-1 and lookimg about to cruise to a 2-0 series lead halfway through game 2 and 5.5 periods later we are here. Stunning

Good luck to anyone crazy enough to stick this one out but I just can’t take it anymore.
Going to take a very long time to get over this series. I never had any illusions of ever winning a cup but I actually was dumb enough to believe we could beat the coilers.
And I’ll probably get sucked into watching the flames again next season because what else is there to do during 8 months of winter, but never, ever will I get my hopes up again. Man you’d think we’d learn.
In the meantime I’ll be snapping off any coiler car flags I can.

Not every athlete has the same endurance level. Maybe Markstrom has lost something after making 70 starts (season and 1st round combined). Not every goalie would begin to tire out after that number of starts, but it seems like he has.

Literally logged in here for the first time in five years just to vent.
This team is being absolutely outclassed. I am having visions of 2019 Colorado all over again. If this is how this series goes the rest of the way, good riddance to Gaudreau.
[EDIT: Five years not seven]

the team gave up after the PP goal in the 2nd period of game 2, i don't blame Marky if he said eff these guys and gave up, why play if no one else is even putting in the effort.

This team is still so emotionally fragile. Dallas series was a mirage. They were just that bad.
Flames should be absolutely embarrassed. Zero pride. Zero battle.

at some point the Flames offense needs to get going again. Nothing since going up 3-1 in game 2.
