So Markstrom has decided he doesn’t even want to try against this team eh? I’m sorry, I don’t criticize goalies as a rule but for #### sakes he’s putting the nail in the coffin on this series.

I'm ok with the flames losing, but Markstrom basically ruined the series. He sucked in all four games. Worse than average. Sub-par.

That gaffe by Markstrom to start the game was demoralizing.

But bad luck on the second and third goal. The second goal Tanev couldn't clear the puck or the man because of his bum shoulder and the third goal was deflected.

I'm now firmly in the camp that Markstrom should not play again in this series. It is not entirely his fault the last couple games, but his body language sucks, his confidence looks shot and he can't keep this team to 3 or below.

Markstrom didn’t even give his teammates a chance to build momentum and killed any chance of a quick start with his elite puck handling skills in the first 20 seconds of the game. Where is the Dan Cloutier beach ball image.

Markstrom being a seive has the team playing scared. Can't play their game when every chance against is likely a goal.

Deflection or not, on the whole Markstrom has not been a difference maker in this series. The team has hung him out to dey on plays, but I alao have no confidence that he'll make the big saves when needed. His mental game against this team has been awful.

How is this clear?

He started the game with a gaffe. Came up with some big stops. Got beat on a 3rd/4th chance on a pk, and had a defenders stick dive in and tip the puck on a guy walking in untouched from the slot.
