TBay and especially Hagel lucky that penalty was changed to 2 min. Dangerous, braindead crosschek/hit that doesn't belong in the NHL.

Wow.

Well, Florida is cooked.

That'll be Tampa's 10th straight playoff series win. That is incredible.

Thought this one would have been closer. The Panthers have given themselves an impressive mountain to climb.

This series is looking like a disappointment. Panthers look even less competitive against Tampa than before.

Stuns me that Tampa has been able to corner the panthers like this.

Must be frustrating for a team that has been so good this season.

That's because they are. Brunette is way out of his league, not being to make any adjustments in the playoffs. They got by Washington on pure talent alone, not by outplaying them and now it shows against Tampa. Last year under Q they put up a heck of a fight and this years team added Ekblad, Giroux, Reinhart and Chiarot and they look much, much worse.

There’s a rumour that the Panthers players were seen partying at a strip club last night. Sorry no source. It was on the radio.

BOF and BOA both turning out to be duds, unfortunately.

They shouldn't even deny it.

That's actually brilliant. What would make a group of male athletes forget their troubles better than booze and women dancing?

Why not. Being disciplined professionals hasnt worked for them so far, and their issues in this series appear to be between the ears. A bender at the club sounds like an exorcism of mental demons if i ever heard one.

After 3 games, it can’t be closer than 2-1.

So, it was an automatic dud in your eyes?

I think the talent covered up the transition from Quennville to Brunette.

Now I think they absolutely miss him.

The most surprising sweep I've seen in a while.

Welp. It's been a year.

Won the President's Trophy (sure, that's cool I guess)
Won a playoff series. First since 1996. (that's good!)
Got swept 4 straight by their state rival and never really looked good in the series (that's bad!)

It's okay, it just means the Flames can now avenge 2004 properly.

I think the Panthers will be back in this spot next year. Hopefully they take another step next season.

Didn’t expect it to be a sweep. Lightning have come alive. Hurricanes will be a tough out, with the way Vasilevskiy is playing, I expect that to be a relatively short series too.

Florida the better team in 3 out of 4. Tampa with the PP and goalie playing out of his mind.

It’s how many years in a row the President’s Trophy winners didn’t make it out of the 2nd round? 10?

7 since they made it past 2nd round (‘15 Rags), 9 since won a cup (‘13 Hawks). Only 2 in the last 20!

Obviously Tampa is really good and Vasy is a star but getting swept while scoring 3 goals is a pretty massive choke job. Toronto scored 24 goals and the Panthers should be a better team than Toronto.

Since the Flames went up 6-2 in game 1, it's been pretty much all Oilers in the BOA, and they only seem to be getting stronger as the series goes on. Oilers finishing it off in either 5 or 6 games seems to be the most likely outcome, unless the Flames have another hurculean effort in them to swing momentum of the series back to their side.

It’s like you’ve never watched hockey before.

There are often many ebbs and flows in a series. The Rangers looked done vs. Pittsburg as did TB earlier.

Sure the flames may lose, but it is far from certain.

There's one thing that makes BOA different from the other series... a once-in-a-generation talent playing the best hockey of his career.
