Give me Oettinger any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Sutter needs to manage Markstrom mentally. He hasn’t played well against Edmonton in almost every game this season.

Definitely not physical. This was not the team I watched all season. Where did they go?

I hope no one else signs him, just like when he was cleared after the SJ investigation (before Edmonton shamelessly slid into his DMs).

He's good. But given everything, he shouldn't be playing in the league right now.

Oilers should be ashamed for giving that guy a second lease on his career.

Gaudreau has proven he can play in the playoffs this year. One bad game doesn’t change that.

Constantly change D pairing and shaky Markstrom doesn't help us to play good game.
I think they don't need to adjust their line ups and pkay for Oilers. Just play Flames hard checking, active stick and fast transitioning game. Believe your game guys and play your strenth.
And Jarnkork is not good in C. Make little adjustments in line up.

thats not the point. the point is the goalie can only do so much. oettinger played the best series i have ever seen a goalie play and yet, his team still lost.

The other Vezina finalists are either out of the playoffs or in the same situation as the Flames. The best goalie of the playoffs is out in the first round.

You have to play a team game to win.

I don't blame out forwards, sorry.
Flames played ok, but not great in first, but held off the home crowd bump.

Defensive terrible decisions and positioning by defenseman, and it got out of hand in 12 minutes in second.

The forwards then are scared to do anything but dump it in for fear of what defensive breakdown may come next from the guys behind them.

JG breakaway and Tkachuk rebound save could've turned game quick.

That was all on bad defensive play. Everything else looks bad in a vaccuum becuase of that.

Johnny has only had two games these playoffs where he didn’t register a point: Tonight and game 2 last series. He had a bad game tonight but he’s been productive these playoffs. Shut up

Um, that's not an option?

WTF guys, have some faith in the guys that got us here. Such a fickle fanbase. Gross.

How may post are you intending to post bash Markstrom? I mean one, two? This over and over and over, don't your fingers get sore? Even if you fingers aren't sore, my eyes are sore reading it over and over again.

Markstrom was not the issue in this one, it was letting the Oilers walk in all night long on odd man breaks. It's like Tanev being out of the lineup has completely thrown things for a loop. I don't remember the Flames being dominated like that all year.

The good thing is that they can't possibly play any worse, hopefully this is a wake up call.

Yes barely lost in game 7 and kept his team in the game despite the odds and the chances and the pressure. That is the point. Swap Markstrom and oettinger and Calgary wins in 5 games vs Dallas.

Lucic still doesn't know the difference between creating some energy and taking himself completely out of the game. Markstron pretty scouted out at this point, maybe start Vladar to throw them off.
