We need to close and lock the E=NG thread.

Edmonton is better than Calgary. Calgary is no good.

The Flames should have just lost that game 7 against Dallas, at least that would have been on brand. Getting worked by the Oilers in 5 or 6 games is going to be worse than any of their first round collapses

I think the spark might have to be Vladar (or at least start there).

I know it's not ideal nor the blueprint. But even a guy giving you .910 would be enough to support the Flames, give them some confidence, and put their foot to Edmonton's rear for good.

They historically have played hard for Vladar too, which has led to his great record in games he has played.

Agreed. The way the Flames are playing, no need to expose him to more of this tonight. Get him off, regroup and try to build some positives in the third.

The defense is a mess tonight, way too many dumb pinch plays

Markstrom has nothing to do with what’s happening

That’s not going to happen. He has speed, but his skating style is one of the most awkward I’ve ever seen. That’s why he always goes into the boards or gets bodied so easily.

I mean, it's a log series. But the Flames have no answer and Suter seems to be sticking to his plan. The entire team is completely rattled.

Lewis has been good, but he handed the Oilers two goals in this game. These vets were here to help.

Can’t believe anyone would have any confidence left to say we have a chance to win this series. This is brutal.

Oh yeah, you better believe you're getting on the next WoS if it happens.

The difference between this series and Dallas was the games were tight and although Dallas limited chances the Flames felt like the better team. This series is not feeling like that in games 2 and 3. I'm not sure how the Flames get playing better because our defense looks horrid and quite frankly this has been the story EVERY DAMN TIME we play the Oilers. McDavid and Draisitl own us along with the Flame killer and ######bag Evander Kane who always seems to score against us on whatever team he is playing for.

Embarrassing performance. This is the Flames we've seen in the playoffs. Unprepared to do what it takes to win.

They were happy to finally beat Dallas and got lucky that Edmonton's goalies had a terrible night in game 1. They were happy with what they have done and haven't kept their foot on the gas. No killer instinct.

He’s had a much better game.

Even the in zone defence has been better. It’s defending the rush that’s been terrible.

Maybe some fans have other things that are more important right now. Am I upset? Of course. Who wouldn't be? Not their night. Move on. At least HNIC can talk all about what their real interest is.

Of the Oilers last 6 goals 2 have been breakaways and 3 have been 2-on-1’s.

Calgary is beating themselves. Not a single defenseman has looked good.
