Stone didn't have much control over his stick hitting Yamamoto in the face, but that doesn't matter. It was a high stick.

Making it 4 minutes when there seemed to be no obvious signs of blood was very confusing and seemed totally unjustified.

Tanev is important because he accounts for both his and Kylington's games.

Kylington works off of what Tanev does.

Stone isn't Tanev. Stone is a good defenseman, but he doesn't know what Kylington is expecting or needs from him that he gets from Tanev.

Winning first 2 games in a playoff series is tough, the road team will always has the push. Flames started the game off well, but then they got too amped up. They need to just settle down and play shutdown hockey after 2-0 lead. They got sucked into too many scrum, initiate, never retaliate. Hit them over and over, and absorb hits and skate away. I think they'll be better on the road because all they have to do is play a defensive boring road game.

There was no challenge by the coaches on either one that I was aware of.

the oilers have scored 5 or more goals on the Flames 5/6 times this season, I believe. That's not very good at all. Defense/Goaltending simply has to be better.

2 bad games and it’s tied 1-1. Still haven’t seen the real Flames in this series. I guess we’ll take it.

Feel bad for the Flames fans who paid $400+ to watch that.

The Zadorov call and the 4 minute call are stupefying to me.

Make no sense at all. New refs next game, please. Send these guys easter or to Denver. Don't want them back here.

I honestly think this was a game changer. It led to a lot of momentum their way when nothing was really happening for them

I have the nhl.tv app. I just wait an hour longer to start the game. That way I can skip commercials and intermission. The game still ends about 10 mins later for me.

Watch is a loose term. More like “it’s on in the background while I’m on my phone and I can hear bits of stupidity from time to time”.

I muted it in the 2nd.

I wonder if it was different refs on the goal-line each time.

I've never thought about it, but I guess refs must keep the same side all game? It was definitely Chris Lee on our 3rd period goal...was it the other doofus in the 1st period who was at least more open to the possibility that he might suck?

It was a league challenge for Edmonton and not a coaches challenge. Otherwise Calgary would have had a PP.

We just lost home ice. It’s now a best of 5 with 3 scheduled games in EDM

I thought they got too cute on the PP. Passing the puck around looking for the perfect play. Get pucks to the net and go for rebounds.

Guys like Tkachuk and Mangiapane keep getting baited into post-whistle foolishness which gets them in the box which takes them off the ice which plays into the Oilers game.

You don't see McDavid participating in those for a reason.

I really don't understand high stick penalty, I'm mean, Yamamoto is 5'8" on his knees, and Stone's stick is waist high. May be call it hit to the face. Sorry, I'm just ranting.

I'm going to start doing this. I do it in the regular season to cut down on the time commitment. If the Flames go down I put it on 2x speed to see if they tie it up.
