Beaver Buzz Energy Drink

I would love you to look at my video for my marketing class.

I'm in a first-year marketing course at Queen's and the Beaver Buzz execs (a real drink... many people ask me) charged us with coming up with a movie as well as a jingle for them.

I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

Did you guys produce the music at the beginning with the siren? That's pretty catchy stuff, I think it would be good for warmup for hockey or in the locker room...

I can't believe you've never heard that song, that was like one of the biggest Canadian hits of the past ten years, has been played in many NHL arenas, been featured on a Labatt Blue ad, and has been ripped off quite obviously in the new Future Shop commercials.

I think a commercial for Beaver Buzz should probably include at least one shot of a woman sitting on a microwave.

Never was a huge sloan fan, and to be honest, after listening to the song, the intro is the only thing I like. That being said, I'm surprised if it's been featured so much I've never heard of it...meh...I did live under a rock (figuratively of course) for 17 years of my life back home so maybe that was it.

The fourth chord in the signature riff is a half-step lower than the Sloan song, which I guess is enough to set it apart and vitiate their need to pay royalties. If Future Shop got permission, why wouldn't they just use the actual song?

I didn't think it was very good.

The video was poorly edited and the song didn't have any flow at all.
