Great video!

Anyone know what ‘nerf gun’ video Tkachuk is referencing?

Before a regular season battle of Alberta Ben was wearing his Oilers Jersey and shooting a picture of Tkachuk with a Nerf gun. I think his face even had an x on it. I have a through-marriage connection to Ben and have been aware of his story for a while. His family is pretty amazing. He and his parents have been through a lot in the last couple years. He was a normal kid like any other and now it's pretty awful. There's stuff McDavid and the Oilers have done behind the scenes before this all came out that most people don't know about too. Visits and stuff. Pretty cool little kid

Having a 5 year old I literally can't even watch those videos, it breaks my heart. Poor kid shouldn't have to go through stuff like this.

This is what Sutter means when he says the series isn't a battle but brings the province together

Alas, Ben Stiller's acquaintance with Flames is limited to a freak gasoline fight accident.

(Best of luck, Ben Stelter!)

It's Sutter's world and we're just living in it.

Good luck Ben!

And way to go, Matt!

So much this.
3.5 and a 1.5 year old and I cant even watch sick kid videos without choking up. Breaks my heart seeing a young kid having to fight through this, its just not fair.

Oh man. I love this whole thing. He has a pic of MT and he shoots a nerf gun. Go Ben!!!!!

side note: Mike Smith is so awkward in that video. He hardly even welcomes Ben.

He's not, but this is a class move on his part none the less.

Default Tkachuk with a message to Ben Stelter

I’ve been following Ben’s story since I first read about it during the regular season.

This kid always seems to have a smile on his face and absolutely loves cheering for the Oilers. It’s really great to see how McDavid and the rest of the team has embraced him. He really is an inspiration. Nice to see the Flames show support as well.

Off the ice, he’s as classy as anyone else in the league.
