Lots of coaches who can't find an NHL HC job have won this, but Darryl hasn't.

He deserves to have this on his career resume, he is HHOF coach level coach who is now tied for 6th all time in playoff wins, 3 wins away from 5th and 7 away from 4th.

I can't wait for his media availability when reporters get to ask him about what this "regular season award" means to him!

No one likely catches Scottie, but he's got a shot at top-3 all time if Flames string together a few good seasons here.

3 wins and 7 wins are unique numbers in context of where our team is right now. Sure hope there’s 7 wins this playoffs, and then another 4!

It's hard to discredit the other 2 candidates. Obviously I would say Sutter is the winner, but none would be a shock.

Sutter has to win this right?

Florida was already stacked before brunette took over (I guess it was only 7 games into season)

Rangers relied on unworldly goaltending.

as I think I've mentioned before coaches that have more wins and more cups that Sutter: Bowman, Arbour, Quenneville

that's the list

having said that- like Sutter- don't care if he wins the J.A. (although seems likely he will)

I think the award he would rather have is the Cup, but I think he is well deserving of the nomination and hope he wins it.

Unfinished business - what Darryl wants most is his name on the Stanley Cup under the Calgary Flames!

I wonder if we see a contract extension this summer? He only has one more year on his deal.

It would be neat to see Gallant wins it, like it's a big HAHA to Vegas.

Sutter doesn't want it, but he's the obvious choice.

I'd be ok with a Gallant win because Darryl would like it.

Brunette just inherited a globetrotter team that was already mentored to playing great hockey by coach Q.
