They were teammates in Chicago last year, and it looked pretty amicable. Zadorov probably said to just let them wrestle it out, no 3rd (and 4th) man involved.

They're banking on it. Even on CHED.
Their "bright side" take on the loss is they believe Edmonton is just Jacob's Achilles heel and he's a different goalie against them.
At least, they're hoping that's the case.
Hope JM uses that as fuel.

There was definitely some Smith jeering as well. Getting kinda mixed up now, I remember chanting both. Def a boo-urns situation.
What an unreal game boys. Sick win, sick game, and the crowd was well behaved there was good natured jeering between fanbases from what I saw, mainly initiated by me, and no fights. Was really worried there’d be some violence but it was just 19,500 people having a great time blowing out their ear drums. Worth every penny.

Wow I've never had so many ways to watch this game before.
1. Sportsnet on CBC
2. ESPN - totally different broadcast with their own cameras and crew
3. Watch Game 1 with Steve Dangle ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thsYrFHRnVY)
I just finished re-watching the game on ESPN, tomorrow I'll rewatch via Steve Dangle.

A lot of people talk smack about Calle Jarnkrok and I just don't get it. Reminds me of the reactions people had when Derek Ryan went a few weeks without scoring early in his first year here. Two very similar players IMO, although Calle definitely has a bit more muscle.
Jarnkrok hasn't scored yet. He's probably been robbed 15 times. He's playing terrific defensive hockey and helped Dube a ton at the end of the regular season. I don't think a lot of people realized how good the Flames had it with Ryan until he was gone, and I think Jarnkrok has come in and picked up right where Ryan left off.
The Flames are a scary team and Jarnkrok is absolutely a big part of that.
