I wonder how common it is for people to fall into the row in front of them. I saw a video on one of the Flames Fan Facebook groups. It was up in the PL section and you see Johnny score and fans jump up. The guy in front of the camera fell into the row in front of him and that caused somebody from that row to fall into the next row. I even wondered if this video captured the incident in question but I can't find it anymore.

The incident in question could have been as innocent as this. That article from Daily Hive suggests that. However there wasn't anything in the Daily Hive article that stuck out to me as being an incident that was directly linked to the incident involving the racist allegations. Was there more than one incident an the one involving racial allegations wasn't yet reported when Daily Hive talked to CPS?

More details are needed. We won't get them all.

Also, local news stations love social media stories like this one that get everyone riled up, but despite the family tagging two major local news companies, neither have decided to run a story on it.

The problem with the guy clearly saying he was pushed from behind is this

Supposing a guy was awful enough to actually assault someone, and was then identified, shifting the blame would probably be expected, whether it is true or not.

If he was pushed, and then knocked the other guy down, he would say he was pushed.
If he is just a jerk who assaulted someone, then realizes he has been identified, he can say he was pushed.

If somebody pushed me, I knocked a guy, and he took a tumble, then seemed to be hurt, I myself would probably be apologizing, explaining what happened, and checking on the guy to make sure he was okay. Most decent people would probably do that

I can’t perfectly reconcile that with the people just taking off, and somebody chasing them down to get their pictures, either

That’s where witnesses can help

Too little information to determine intent

I don't have any insight to comment on the particular issues of this case, so I am not trying to excuse what may or may not have happened

but falling into row in front? pretty common- esp as games get more intense , full and Etoh driven

we had someone fall into our row and throw up a few games ago

why is there two accused? how did two people push one guy? or is one person guilty by association? I'm looking forward to the outcome.

It's like two people pushing a car. Want me to draw you a picture?

Draw it. So you can see how absurd your snark is.

I have no opinion about whether this was a hate crime or not, because it either was or wasn’t and my opinion formulated from one article I read sitting in my office is completely meaningless. But, since you think your opinion is meaningful, you might as well read the article properly.

I think he means the writer of the article didn't get a direct quote from the guy. No doubt they either tried and failed (or didn't even know his name) or thought the second hand quote was good enough.

If I'm a guy being investigated I'm not giving any statements.

That could be. Doesn't really makes the conclusion any more logical though.

well, the twitterverse ID'd the couple, supposedly. They also supposedly have an online store selling Let's Go Brandon shirts (though a ton of companies do that for $$).

Perhaps these were two completely separate incidents?

I had some guy fall a few rows onto our seats in the press level a few years ago. I think his friends pushed him. I wasn’t too happy about it at the time.

Quite possible. The one from the article describes what sounds more like what happens during a sudden celebration that is typical to occur in a sports stadium, the one on instagram sounds like a targeted attack based on race.

But whatever, some clowns just need to pick apart everything on a public forum to make themselves feel superior (I'm not talking about you 8 Ball). They end up on my ignore list as they rarely post anything relative to the game of hockey anyways.

I'm out for this thread.

The two in the picture do have that certain look about them. You know... that "Trump won the election" look... if that helps the investigation at all.

Was it the lack of blue hair and face piercings that gave it away?

Had this happen a couple of years ago. Had a bunch of #@$%^ behind us, I can't remember how but one of them 'lost' his balance like 3 times and started falling into me. I'm a big guy and just pushed him back. But then he fell against my gf and launched her 2 rows down. She was lucky enough to get her hands out in front to protect herself but hurt her wrist quite badly. Guy thought it was funny till I convinced him it was not. They were thrown out straight after that.

2015 playoffs? I believe I was right behind the idiot who did these... when they scored he would jump forward... not up

Fellow CP'er Josef and I actually got into a fist fight on the concourse with some Vancouver fans, one of which fell into a lady the row below them. Guy said sorry, and then when the woman and her husband turned around they laughed and high fived each other.

Poor lady bit her tongue and had blood all over her chin and clothing.

Josef yelled at them in German (even scared me), and then later settled it.
