I assume that this means that Mackey draws in to the lineup tonight and they need a spare body in case of another injury. I won't lie, the health of our defense is worrisome.

Mind goes to Tanev being a longer-term issue. Hope that's not the case
Edit: After further reflection, I may have overreacted (on the internet! shocker!). Forgot that Tanev skated with the team yesterday, and didn't realize he skated this AM too. Also didn't realize the Heat are in a prolonged break. It's great for Valimaki to get a feel for NHL playoffs, great for his personal development as well as team-wise comfort level if our D continue to get more banged up.

I believe Stockton is still playing in the AHL playoffs, so the fact that Valimaki is being called up suggests that Tanev is not at 100% able to play. It could be one of our other D-men that is banged up.
I am worried.

As many as you want, but after two call ups any further call ups must come from Tuesday evening men's drop in rec league at the leisure centre. When they call up Mick that'll definitely solve the defense issues.

Here's hoping whatever has plagued Valimaki since trying to get back to where he was ascending to after the combined injuries that he's getting reacclimated, comfortable and closer to being himself again.
I want that guy on this team . Heres hoping.
