His son is a 21 year old living at home. These days, not really an adult. Lol.
Also, mistreating your child over a foolish superstition doesn't make sense at any age. Kid probably doesn't like the flames much lol.
Yikes.
My Dad and I haven't watched a flames game together in a while; having two kids and a pandemic does that. And we haven't watched the flames win a series together since 04. We still watched yesterday through all the nerves, and celebrated a great moment together (along with my brother too) when Johnny scored. That's a great flames, family memory.
My god ...
It was clear to me reading the story that sure he's superstitious, but it was a running joke in his house that they were both in on.
Chill people.

Matthew said something like, 'Brady's been on quite a rip since his season ended' when asked about him throwing shirts or towels out in the red lot. For sure a beauty.

The part that throws me is the "21 is not really an adult" bit...21 is totally an adult. If you are treating the "over 20's" in your life as not an adult, you are doing them a grave disservice.

By the way - what a 2017 draft for Dallas
3rd overall - Heiskanen
26th overall - Oettinger
39th overall - Robertson
Robertson was semi-invisible this series, but had 40 goals in the regular season and the other 2 guys were by far their best in the series.
2017 draft is humourous is retrospect - Hischier and Nolan Patrick go 1-2 followed by Heiskanen and Makar. Nightmare fuel for the Devils and especially the Flyers.
Yeah, and as was noted above, they made moves at the draft to get Oettinger and Robertson, so it's not just an accident. Pretty good start to a core group, but they are going to need centres. Seguin, Benn and Joe P. are gonna age out pretty quickly. Their issue with replacement is made harder by the fact Seguin makes $9.85 through 26-27 and Benn makes $9.5 through 24-25. Joe P is signed for a fairly reasonable amount for one more year. Also, Heiskenan is signed long term at a decent contract, but Robertson and Oettinger are both RFA now (no arb rights though).
Francis says the stats folks counted more Flames shots since last night. Total has climbed to 67, and 134 shot attempts.
What was it before? SNet had a graphic with Oettinger and the most saves in a single playoff game (series?) and IIRC he was fourth but just a few back from third. Curious where he stands now.

Maybe so, but CP reading too much into posts and playing parenting police is not a good look for this board at all.
If he didn't ask for your opinions then maybe just buzz off with your ideas of how someone else should do things.
Just a miniscule amount more effort from Benn on that play and he deflects the shot - love that he will lay awake at night thinking about that!
Yup I said the same thing (sort of) this morning to my brothers

Forgot about this. Still take 2016 over 2015 but man it sure seems that these two drafts set this version of the flames up. Especially when you consider that the picks traded landed them Dougie Hamilton, which landed them Hanafin and Lindholm (and oddly enough, lost them fox from 2016 lol)
Yeah Chucky is a franchise player but Razz is our future #1 d-man so I have a hard time deciding!
Kinda felt that the style Dallas was playing prevented their top players from being creative and generating offense. They had the second best offensive first line throughout the season?
Not sure if that stacked up well in the first round. I know to a certain extent the Flames really shut them down, but at some point you have to balance the boring, defensive style with giving your players the ability to produce.

I thought Pavelski, after looking super dangerous in the first games, was stifled a lot better in the last ones. The Flames best checking forwards - Jarnkrok, Backlund, Lewis, Toffoli all had a lot to do with that.
So this is what actually happened at my place. My eldest boy is living with me now and as some of you might remember from past GT's any time he watches a game with me, we lose. Normally he is always out doing 21 year old things but tonight he was at home in his room. So he had asked earlier in the day if he could watch the game with me and I was like "no fn way!" So anthem is done, I am getting all jacked and excited and as play starts he comes out and says "come on, this is stupid, I can't affect the game" and Benn scores and I lose my ####! "Out, out, out, get the F back in your room!" So he walks back to his room laughing and of course I am pissed off. So fast forward to us tying it up and I yell "YES!" Tie game boys, let's go. So the players skate to centre ice and my son comes out and is like "did we score?" and Dallas scores another goal and I just turn to him and yell "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!, I WILL KILL YOU!!!" Then I chased him into his room and gave him a kick in the ass on the way. Have you ever watched Ren and Stimpy and Ren gets beyond pissed at Stimpy for doing something dumb? That is exactly how I looked and sounded. So he stays in his room and 4 minutes into OT I get a text from him that says I have to pee and I texted back pee out the damn window, I don't care but if you leave that room I will end you! Then Johnny scores, I scream and holler and after about five minutes I texted him he could use the bathroom. All was right in the universe and the frogs rejoiced!
Lol wtf man… you can’t actually believe your son has any impact on the game, can you? Watch the game with your kid… was a funny read though.
