My feed was slightly delayed and when this happened, I was turning the air blue because I was like…we just can’t get any breaks. Frustrated, angry. My wife tells me that I’m scaring the younger kids. She doesn’t understand though that she has seen the score live and I’m about a minute behind.

She walked in as the flames had just scored. And I’m cheering and not cursing.

Crazy emotional swings. That’s overtime.

great video

random thoughts
1. Man can Rick Ball call a game
2. Millen with the quick "Lindholm has been quiet lately" under his breath moments before the game winner
3. moments after the dropped goalie stick saves Dallas' bacon, Gudbranson loses his stick as the play goes the other way , I remember thinking "damn you hockey gods, so this is how this one ends..well played."
4. handshake line was great, handshakes lines are quite a thing
5. Tkachuk borderline speechless in the interview- that's also quite a thing

Just ... so many things seemed to be pointing to a Flames loss. Then, of course - Goal Against on the very first Dallas shot. Classic, classic Flames. Work their asses off to tie it up and on the very next shift go back down by one. Keep working, keep working and we tie it up, but just can't go ahead.

That's just a recipe for the kind of kick-in-the-grundle loss we've seen over, and over, and over...

And they won. Not only did they win, but Johnny Gaudreau, our best player played a phenomenal game and came through in the clutch, while our go-out-and-get-him UFA #1 goalie signing played absolutely amazing.

Friggin' awesome, feels amazing.

I felt the same way. But whatever the flames curse has been, I think that Johnny OT goal has shattered it for good and forever.

Wasn't the shot off a Flames defenseman's leg?

It’s true. I have 4 kids of my own. I actually keep them in cages and the rule is that when the Flames score a tiny nutritional nugget drops from the dispenser. When the Flames win their water dispenser is refilled. This might seem kind of extreme but a few years ago I noticed that whenever I fed the kids leading up to a game they’d lose, so I worked on this theory for a while and came up with the solution that I could actually sustain the rules of the superstition and appease the hockey gods if the kids got sustenance the MOMENT the Flames scored or won. And look how well it turned out this season! Clearly paying off.

I did have 9 kids when it all started but that’s the way things go. For the love of the game and all that! Go Flames Go!

I’m amazed that both Zadorov and Kylington were able to continue after their painful crashes.

And Bingo's stats showed Stone/Kylington led the way in %GF. Our 4-7 D on the depth chart really played a helluva game.

Still so jacked! The BOA is going to be insane! Seeing Monny waiting in the tunnel was almost as good as the victory!

Three stars of the series:

Oettinger
Markstrom
Gaudreau

and no one else was close

I thought Lindholm was the team's best player overall, at least until game 7, in which he was fine.

He was one of the few players who looked fine in every game.

Props to Dube as well. And Stone.

Looks like there's some Stars fans on Twitter whining saying the Flames should have been called for offside before the winning goal was scored.

It looks like they're not even whining about the zone entry on the game winning goal. It was the zone entry before that Dallas cleared.

Was at the the game and when they changed the jumbotron to the post game feed, prior to the sequence that lead to the goal it showed the Flames had around 125 shots towards the net. They just kept working it and you could see the Stars getting tired as the game went on. So many good moments from that first round.
