Gaudreau with the highest playoff points per game average in league history as a captain or alternate….
…probably.

Based on her overtime commitment and celebration when the flames won it I think my wife (a recovering Canucks fan) is finally converted.

Sadly we’re here in Van taking care of her mother because it tears me up the big flames flag isn’t flying at our place!

Yep, even without Oettinger they have been one of the best playoff teams the last few years. They knocked off the Avs and Vegas for Christ sake

I chose the wrong opponent, Rittich might not have made 64 saves

Zadorov is easily my favourite Russian on earth.

Admittedly, it is a low bar these days though.

The coach apparently disagrees with you. He mentions it quite regularly.

Johnny's goal from almost the exact spot where Martin St. Louis gutted us in G6 OT in 2004. An exorcism.

I like that wearing an "A" meant something special to the Gaudreau's. I know it's scary that he doesn't have a contract extension yet, but you can see that they are emotionally invested in the Flames which bodes well.

I'll admit, I took a couple of breaks from the game tonight to relax. Call it a mojo thing I guess. I have to think that this series was great preparation for playing the Oilers next. They are going to be hardened after this.

Every one of those games felt like the last 15 minutes of school on a Friday. Now Benn can go home sit by his door waiting to yell at kids selling fundraising coolies door to door. Well done boys. GFG

That seguin tip wide… for about a second I thought it was over; probably didn’t take a full breath from the 3rd period until the Johnny snipe; unreal feeling to watch that goal! So happy right now

Jake Oettinger was the best player in the series.

Full credit for the discipline to stick to their system. With Benn and Seguin paid $18M, they have that much less to spend, but those guys buy in too to playing defense first and waiting for the Flames to miss a coverage or pass.

It’s all high fives here now but Dallas had some dangerous chances in the third and OT that we have all seen go in in playoffs or other big games.

All that being said, if the Flames didn’t pull this out, Oettinger and the rest of the Stars would turn into pumpkins G1 vs the Oilers, you just know it.
