I'm with you Jiri. I gave Johnny a hard time. I was wrong.
So proud of him. So happy for him.

Meh. Crow is not even the official Calgary bird.

I hope Jarnkrok makes me eat some crow next round. Tkachuk and Toffoli finally came up big when the team needed them most, he's the last Flame left with a monkey on his back

Johnny's mama says that you're forgiven. She's pretty happy right now apparently.

On behalf of the Southern Alberta prairie ecosystem, we apologize for having an insufficient supply of crow on hand for this evening's special event.

Skeptical Flames fans who did not book their crow in advance are invited to our buffet of ravens, magpies, and other corvids.

Request: An "MVP" chant next time he gets a goal at home. Or at least a "John-ny Hoc-key" chant

since sutter has come along, Johnny has turned into a guy that can drive play at times, and he has a 200 foot game.

i did not think Johnny would play well this season for Darryl.

I have always been a fan of the player but Darryl deserves a lot of credit for getting him to buy into more of a team game. I think that was the difference for him compared to previous seasons.

I'll take a crow kebab. I had serious doubts their mettle would hold up and they overcame it all! And for Johnny too. I didn't really ever belive he had what it took to go deep into the playoffs.

So pumped even after waking up today. Still vibrating.

They get to the WCF and I'm heading to Calgary to take it all in.

I thought this might be the thread where Jiri finally admitted that the Branch Savardians were right all along and that Don Hay was a terrible coach!

Johnny frankly wasn’t good enough come playoffs. It also wasn’t totally his fault. He needed a proper coach to get him to the next level. We saw flashes with Hartley and then Tre decided he knew better.

What I saw last year was owners, helping a GM, helping a player. That is a strong organization. Owner to GM to Coach to Player clear on the goal. Its an amazing story how that got JG to the level he is at.

Great post. Nothing wrong with being hard on players, Gaudreau has played some stinkers in the playoffs too. I don't remember you ever being unfair.

But I have to quibble with your post. "Lucky to have watched him". Why past tense, we're still watching

I'm also prepared to eat some crow on Treliving but honestly it's too soon for any crow eating. This season not finished yet.

I thought he was good last night.

If he turns in to Yelle 2.0 this play offs that would be fine.
