So happy for the team. Other than game 6 they were the far better team all series and deserved to win it. If not for Oettinger's heroics, this likely would have been over in 5 or less.
And not to look too far ahead, but you gotta like our chances against the Oil, especially if we continue to play the same way. Flames are much deeper and more skilled than the Kings, and Markstrom is clearly the superior goaltender in this match-up. Smith is no Jake Oettinger.
Holy #### is this real life?!?!? Flames win a game 7 in OT AND move to the 2nd round?? #### me sideways, what a win!!
I honestly and truly thought that Oettenger was going to steal this one. Not often you see a goalie straight up almost steal 7 games in a row. Truly one of the best goalie performances I've seen in ANY playoff series. Kid has a bright future ahead of him. Screw the Stars though. Hope we never have to deal with that kind of struggle again. BOA should definitely be a lot more entertaining.
Just...wow. The team threw everything and the kitchen sink at the Stars for most of the game. Bent but didn't break when it mattered. And Johnny scores with his patented shot from the corner that never works, but finally did this time.
Unreal. Can't wait for the BOA!!

I belong on there too. I feel awful for every bad thing I've said about a Calgary Flame player, coach, or GM over the years. Gio, Mony, Johnny, Sutter, Tre, and others I've said some awful things about. What a fool I've been.

The last two teams to beat Dallas out of the playoffs won the cup. I have a good feeling about the rest of these playoffs. Oettinger gave me some 94 Kirk McLean flashbacks, but thankfully Gaudreau got it done.
Hot damn is Sutter ever a great coach.
