Yes, I read that having a ticket to the game does not get you into Red Lot, you’ll need a separate ticket to get in.

Well that kind of sucks, as a lot of the capacity of the red lot will get taken away by fans with tickets to the game that want to just hang out pregame there.

If I end up getting some I'd definitely pass them along to fans that aren't going to the game as we head into the dome. If that's possible.

It won't matter. They'll have whatever capacity (5K?) and if even a couple thousand are game ticket holders that don't pass off (and they probably can't anyways) they've effectively ruined the experience.
It's a special time and there were so many thousands of fans going crazy that sportsnet keep showing it with disbelief at how amazing it was. It was truly crazy last game. Yeah, it's a little more work to manage capacity and lines, but they really needed to do that and keep the thing going.

First come first served then close the gate would be much smarter. Then when ticket holders for the game leave more can come in. How hard would it be to count?
They turned a fun part of going to the game into stupidity. I might just tailgate at my car. Better be stealthy though.

Victim of it’s own success. They didn’t want 10k people showing up and things getting out of hand, endless lineups, and tons of angry people having to go home after getting turned away. You also don’t want people camping out for 8 hours to get in.

My guess probably for insurance, fire code and other things, they need to have a defined number of tickets, as opposed to having a group of people or security guards counting.
Could be problems down there tonight though with people going down without tickets and just hanging around the area.

The scenes at the Red Lot make me smile.
It see a lot of young people and it reminds me of those feels from when I was 20 on the red mile on 2004.
I hope these kids get a long run and similar (and one better) memories like we did.
