Played pretty bad, still leave that period the same way they came in. Plenty of game left.
Would like to see Gaudreau get a shift, did he even see the ice after the 3-2 goal, i know you’ve gotta roll the lines but he’s the best player at both ends of the rink and you’ve gotta lean on him a bit in the big moments.

Worst defensive period by a mile this series. Missed checks, poor passing, very scrambly. Play in their own end was poor. Really strange to watch. Very un-Flames like.
Gaudreau will tie it up, Mangiapane with the winner, Lindholm with an empty netter. 5-3 Flames.

I think they box everyone out down low. They have a big goaltender so that helps too. Flames have to plant guys like Lucic in front and get scrappy. Guys don't want to get too dirty.

The whole momentum changing sequence was started by a really weak play on the forecheck by Toffoli where he didn’t take a hit to make a play. It allowed the Stars to come back in transition. It looks to me like he’s hurt.

Chucky having a rough night.
IMO that’s two questionable goals against by Markstrom.
The first goal was horrible and should never go in. The third is a tough screen but a big save you’d want him to make in that situation.
The other guy isn’t letting in any soft goals, you can’t be letting in 2
