They moved the dates of daylight savings time, but they might as well push the official starts of winter and sprint back one month.

Excellent! Nothing like playoff hockey and a city still blanketed in snow

Any snow we get now will be long gone (and probably replaced 5 times) before the playoffs start.

In Calgary, there's no such thing as "normal" weather in April.

My Primroses are already coming up.

Also, was at the Zoo last weekend and the Willows are already budding out.

Yessir... welcome to life in Alberta.

At least it'll put moisture in the ground for the farmers. Oughta start gettin' nice and dry for them to get some seeding done come mid April.

Stupid internet cutting out and making me retype this...grr...

It has snowed the last 3 Aprils (the only three I've lived in Calgary). This is perfectly normal weather. We are transitioning between winter and spring. I would be surprised to see -40 in April. I would be more surprised to NOT see -4 at all in April. It's not like April 1 hits and all of a sudden the weather can't go below 0. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see snow at least once in May as well.

Just remember: "If it snows in May, the Flames go all the way."

This stuff is great for the golf courses! All this moisture is going to help the grass grow and hopefully result in an early start to the season

The grass in my backyard is already turning green. I'll have to put the corn gluten on soon.

As fertilizer or as a ground covering?
