That one was a bit of a joke in response to another post. But ya I have honestly had a really shutty month. Not to complain about life on here to much but I'm a care giver for kids with disabilities. Couple of my kids going through some rough #### and it's hard to be happy.

But I will try and be more self aware and not ruin the game thread with my attitude.

I texted a friend that Mangiapane will never score again and Backlund is infuriating and I hated him in the second period and was laughing at myself for my freezing cold takes at the end of the game while enjoying a win. Who cares?

The worst ever. Terrible tone to her voice, zero modulation, and she just does a crap job calling the play. Add in someone who is terrible at color and you have the worst hockey broadcast experience you can imagine. Singh is Danny Gallivan in comparison.

I enjoyed her as a host. But her pbp leaves a lot to be desired. It has nothing to do with the inflection of her voice or anything like that. She leaves large gaps of dead air even during play, where it's just silent, and the colour guy doesn't say anything either. It's so awkward. It'd be like if Jim Rome did pbp.

While she sits firmly in Flames fans good books for her legendary call out of the Oilers, she is just not good at calling a game.

Not only did she have long pauses in her PBP, but whoever was providing color did nothing at all to help her. At one point, she actually said his name, in order to make it perfectly clear that she was handing the mic to him... and nothing - silence. After a few seconds, she just started talking again.

It was sad, because I am a big fan and I am rooting for her.

May be the color guy is mad that she is calling the game instead of him? Just a thought.

I would say that a lot of the posters here are hockey nerds (in the best possible way) who are quite insightful and thoughtful in what they post, and that's what we want to encourage. It's for the benefit of the entire CP community if people are super thoughtful in what they post. I myself have learned a ton from this board over the years because of this. We want to be a community (I would like to think) of thoughtful hockey/Flames fans, not just a mob of homers and emotional posters, which is what I think HF has degenerated into. IMO a check/balance like the WoS helps us to achieving that.
Like, the greatest success of the WoS could one day be it's undoing. I think it would be a great day for the forum if the WoS ceased to exist one day because there wasn't bad content the be quoted.
