Dan Ventrelle, whose abrupt departure as Las Vegas Raiders team president was announced in a statement by owner Mark Davis on Friday, released his own statement later, alleging he was fired in retaliation for bringing concerns by multiple employees about hostile workplace conditions within the organization to the NFL.

"I take that responsibility very seriously, which is why multiple written complaints from employees that Mark [Davis] created a hostile work environment and engaged in other potential misconduct caused me grave concern," Ventrelle said in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "When Mark was confronted about these issues he was dismissive and did not demonstrate the warranted level of concern.

"Soon thereafter, I was fired in retaliation for raising these concerns. I firmly stand by my decision to elevate these issues to protect the organization and its female employees."

Davis needs to get his act together as the sideshow is getting old regardless of how much truth there is to any of this. I wish the league could force him out but if they can’t get rid of Schneider then I can’t see them forcing Mark out.

Jesus Christ this is utterly insane money. And maybe it's me but.....Brady comes off pretty wooden, with the personality of a doormat, so this seems like a huge gamble that he'll even be half as good and engaging as Romo.

To be fair he's all business when the season is in progress but outside of that he actually does have some personality. His Howard Stern interview was pretty candid.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/t...ur-discussion/

I don't think he will bring energy like Romo but he will probably be pretty blunt which also makes for good TV.

Packers got two HoF QBs back to back. Also two HoF pieces of garbage.

The Mississippi Department of Human Services is suing 38 people, including NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre and retired WWE Wrestler Ted DiBiase Sr., in an effort to recoup millions in misspent welfare funds that should have gone to needy families.

The civil lawsuit stems from a massive welfare fraud scheme involving former MDHS officials, the operators of several Mississippi nonprofits and other alleged beneficiaries of the misspent Temporary Assistance For Needy Families money.

True enough - as a Browns fan I am sick about Watson. I don’t want to cheer for him.

Cleveland sports talk show host Chris McNeil’s asked fans on Twitter what they thought of the Browns landing Watson, more than 26,000 responded: 56% “love it” and 44% “hate it.”

Well, Buck and Aikman are each getting $30M+ each from ESPN.
Brady will be a Fox mascot too, and probably the best known NFL player to anyone who doesn't even watch football, so there's a premium there and I am sure will do cross promotion etc.

Micheals is out at NBC but did he land at Amazon? Collinsworth is holding out for more money.

When spending in the hundreds of billions for rights, 30$M for the best production you can get and people to tune in, seems worth it.

That said, if you're Brady and say 46 when you retire, how about spending time with kids and or enjoy the vaults of money you and your wife have, for a few years? Staying in the football grind and travelling every week to Green Bay to Houston to Chicago to Kansas City to call games in the fall and winter just doesn't seem like a requirement he needs to do. He could call up Fox in 5 years and they'd give him the same deal. Romo took how many years off...took golf more seriously, lived life a bit.

The fact BB got anything for him is excellent. He was done in NE.
Sounds like late round picks flipped on the deal.

New England will send Stidham and a seventh-round draft pick to the Raiders in exchange for a sixth-round selection.

You realize he's being brought in because he knows the offense and there are absolutely no plans for him to start right?

Don’t worry I didn’t bother reading my next post either.

Anyway, Jerry Jeudy won’t be happy until he’s officially the worst draft bust in Broncos history

Keep up the good work kid

What's funny is that most Raiders fans wanted Lamb over Jeudy or Ruggs as he looked like the most complete receiver as Jeudy had drop issues in college and Ruggs was more of a speed guy than a featured WR. Both Raiders and Broncos passed on what a lot of fans felt would be the best WR of the three. Goes to show that scouts and GM's sometimes overcomplicate things rather than take what appears to be the best player available.

Wrote this last night but apparently forgot to hit send..Saints sign Jarvis Landry.

Their WR core went from Marquez Callaway, Tre'Quan Smith and Kevin White to end the season last year, to Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave. And from Siemian feeding em to Jameis Winston. Quite the change.
