This is the biggest thing for Sutter since he got here -- the mindset has always been about getting to where you have success in the playoffs (winning a game, winning a round, winning multiple rounds). They've been preparing for Game 6 all season long.

This coming from the guy who recently stormed off CP in a temper tantrum over people posting the meme they created??
Who's sensitive?

That seems a little apples and oranges to me.

Will there be an "I told you so" wall to give accolades to the negative posters when the Flames lose?
The ATL is great, because it gives a glimpse into the salt mines of our foes and rivals, from outside of CP, after a positive outcome.
Mocking our own community for being frustrated during stretches of poor play does not seem productive, or fun. Not to mention most of it has already been viewed by active members. So all you're doing is dragging negativity in to what should be a positive PGT for the less active members and lurkers to see.

I expect that the Flames will have to weather a pretty strong storm tomorrow from a desparate Stars team. The positive though is that the Flames are a good diciplined road team.
I would like to see MT and TT break out, I think that's a huge X-factor. Having Eat Bread break out last night was really needed.

Something that is not fun is the HF-ification of this place. The certain high school in-group garbage that makes HF the cesspool it is has found its way to CP. It is amazing that people do not see themselves becoming everything they proclaim to hate and attempt to ridicule. The evolution has been slow, but extremely painful to watch. It started with the juvenile Around the League report, but was accepted because it mined Oiler fans' salt. But that evolved into something silly and painful to see, making believe our fans were any better or different than others (we're not). The epitome of that evolution is the Wall of Shame - the taking of out of context in-the-moment comments and attempting to ridicule people for their fandom - simply because it does not comply with a certain brand of blind homerism demanded by the self-proclaimed "cool kids". Even when a lot of the comments on that "wall" are accurate for what was happening in the game at the time. What is next? Thread bans because you have the audacity to challenge the narrative established by the thread thought police, just like they do on HF Oil? This place used to be about diversity of opinion and thought. Now its devolved into a bunch of high school mean girls who think they are so fetch, when they are actually the lamest thing around. Come on CP, we're better than that. When we start eating our own - like they do at that other site - we have become what we hate most.

Hindsight is always 20/20, and a team can play poorly for stretches in a single game, and still win. Last night is the perfect example. for the first 40 minutes, every ounce of criticism was earned by the team on the ice. So had they lost, there would have been no issue with the negativity? But since they pulled up their socks, and won it in the 3rd, we should openly mock, and drag the negativity into what should now by a very positive PGT?
I know when I'm hanging out with buddies at the pub, watching the game, and everyone is feeling negative towards a poor performance, and then the team pulls off a big comeback, I'd much rather mock everyone at the table for comments made during the first period, instead of celebrating the win.

I just don’t think things like “ahh f*** Tkachuk, skate!” Are really takes worthy of being lampooned.
If it’s to a handful of deserving parties, sure.

Tyler Toffoli had some good chances as well as the game before so he’s due, same with Dube and Lucic too.
Everyone looks at the top line but the Flames have more Aces in their deck, last night was a good example.

But we also all hang out with and/or work with the person that makes sure to trash talk the team they root for, just so if they lose they can go "I told ya so" and pretend that they're not disappointed. That's the stuff I love seeing get called out and would love to see the WoS be

Just randomly found it on GIPHY when I was searching for something else.
It was bizarre and inexorably out-of-context, but that's how I roll.

I think "Wall Of Shame" should be a thread onto itself, and stickied to the top of the main forum.
Sort of like how medieval stocks of yore were located in the town square.

Haha, with season-long Crown leaderboards?
The thing is I think it gets the most traffic from lurkers if its in the PGT, and the idea is to expose shameful posts to as many eyes as possible.

You can't love the ATL and hate the WoS. In reality they are the exact same thing. Super hypocritical to be able to call out posters from other fanbases but not ourselves. It's a self policing mechanism which at the end of day will result in higher quality posts. I love the idea.
With that being said, comments like, "Tanev looking off. That's 3 times so far tonight he has had possession and made bad turnovers in our zone" is perfectly fine, and TBH was 100% true from last night, he didn't have his strongest game.
Comments like, "They sure as hell ain’t playing like men", "useless", "I don't mind losing" literally adds zero value to the discussion and should absolutely be shamed.
