Chant analysis:
I think the "Let's go Fla-ames" chant is a good change of pace. It's followed by a clap clap clap-clap-clap which lets fans preserve their stamina and rest their voice. This lets fans go longer and harder.
"Go Flames Go" is way more powerful, but it's so strong and intense that fans often don't last that long.
The trick to a good chant is a mix of pulsating power along with periods of gentler, sustained rhythm that lets you save up for a big finishing climax at the end.

One thing that is a minor irritant to me about red jerseys...that would be the latest ones with the white C.
I personally think the jerseys from 04 with the black C were much more foreboding and blended in much better to make a true C of Red.
Black absorbs light and white reflects it. For me, the white C stands out like a white neon post.

Yeah, but the white C lightening up the C of Red is a small price to pay to have the best jerseys in the league, and the best the Flames have ever had.

Fair enough on the change of pace chant, yeah we deff need more than 1, I hear you there. My issues with that one specifically is:
a) its a chant for 2 syllable team names, and Flames is 1. Flay-ayymes just doesnt hit the way Ran-gers/De-vils/Pan-thers, etc, hits, it sounds forced & awkward to me.
b) It's also the main chant of those Greasers up north, so I feel like we've just copy/pasted their chant. Which makes me feel dirty.
I'm down with another secondary one, I just wish it wasn't that one.

Nashville uses Let's Go Predators and it just doesn't work. When Go Preds Go is right there.
Of course, GFG is a rip off as well, but of the storied "Go Habs Go" chant. That's fine.
