Yeah I've only ever gone once, for 2019 game 5 vs Colorado. It rained the entire time, and we got destroyed and eliminated. Now I feel like that will happen every time if I go like some sort of voodoo hex, so I stay away.

Wall of shame is awesome because the dude who thought it up has to put a lot of work into it.

And now will be pestered to do it every game, instead of, you know, watching and enjoying hockey.

He’s ruined his own experience here for the sake of pointing fingers at others for something that doesn’t matter.

I dislike how the ATL report is being dragged through the mud with this new WoS.

IMO, the wall of shame is mean spirited and dangerously close to bullying. It's one thing to call out trolls or hyperbolic posts sure.

But I think it's a step too far only because there's no usernames attached to ATLs whereas the wall of shame points the finger directly at the username.

I dont like it, it's not funny or fun.

Of course many will counter thats it's equally not as fun sifting through negativity in GTs or whatnot, but they're sparsed out.

It's debate and perspective that makes CP an interesting place to post, but what's the point if all we are gonna do is try to validate our own Fandom by condemning others.

Especially since this fanbase has a long long history of being let down by the team themselves. The Flames have earned every inch of criticism they get even in the good years like this one.

Meh, whatever I guess. Wall of shame me when I make disparaging remarks then, doesn't change the fact the Flames likely have earned it and no attempt at stifling it will change it.

When Mang scored that snipe and everybody jumped to their feet, man I haven't felt that feeling of excitement since 04. If the 2nd and 3rd line can start rolling and chip in, they could be scary good. I lost $1600 at stampede after the game and i dont even care, i'm on cloud nine. One more win (hopefully tomorrow).

Cheers! It's a long weekend here and had been thinking about a trip away but luckily nothing booked. Instead I can stay home and watch Game 6 (and God forbid, Game 7) in peace.

Big high five from Chris Sutter as the Flames scored the EN goal was the highlight of the night for me.

The guy is awesome.

Personally I'm surprised the mods have allowed it.

I made a pretty substantial bet on the Flames to win the series when they were down 2 games to 1 (odds were even) and my best buddy is an Avalanche season ticket holder with guaranteed 9th row tickets to the WCF should it end up CGY/COL.

To say that third period felt good would be a massive understatement, and btw the WoS is awesome.

So Backlund is the straw that stirs the Flames playoff drink?

I think it's pretty indicative that it's easier to win when more than one line is doing all the scoring. When Backlund's line produces it makes for a more balanced team. Also his line got totally caved in against the Avalanche a few years ago.

Don't take WoS seriously. We should be able to laugh at ourselves. It's amusing to see hot takes that turn freezing cold after the end result.

I would also add the comment that it should be more so focused on emotional comments, rather than general criticism of the play.

Smart. When they lost game 3 i was losing my ####, fam cleared the room, best friend went home. After I cooled down, I did the same thing, 5 units on Flames to win the series. Lets finish this undeserving team tomorrow.

I honestly see nothing negative at all in what Lanny says there...merely his opinion on this new tradition that borders on shaming people.

Not that i care myself, cause i don't, but I can only speak for me.

I like the ATL myself....its provided many laughs over the years, but this internal naval gazing is not that IMO.

I don't mind the wall of shame thing. Nothing wrong with making fun of ourselves. I'm on there twice, lol.

Flames seemed like they were skating in quicksand in the first 2 periods when the Stars were clogging everything up. But thankfully they found another gear in the 3rd, stopped worrying about what Dallas was doing, and just played their game. As a result, the Flames' depth and skill took over and they got the W.

I wonder if maybe some of the younger, inexperienced guys just get more anxious playing in front of the home crowd? Overall the Flames seem to play a better and more complete game when they're on the road.

Hopefully these guys learned from last night that if they put in a full 60 minute effort, they'll win most games, no matter what sheet of ice they happen to be playing on. When they flip that switch, this team is scary good.

Yeah I like it for calling out the borderline trolls and posters that just have an agenda against a certain player, or the people that are just miserable literally all game long. But bringing up stuff like "Andersson lost his guy there, damn" doesn't qualify as shame to me.

But at the end of the day it's harmless to make fun of ourselves, like I said, mining salt on Reddit is fun why not do it to ourselves too
