Funny moment during the 3 stars tonite. Backlund spotted a woman in a Sweden jersey which gave him a big grin and then successfully tossed his 1st star Flames necklace to her!
I admit I did not join in on the Oettinger chant even though it was a beauty in the Dome. Some weird respect thing of his play made me hold back.
Oettinger has been Dryden level good in this series but we are finding a way somehow to get it done against him. Team really digging deep!
There was a women (I think) wearing a bright yellow jacket. Backlund came out for being one of the three stars and tossed her something. Maybe a Swedish connection?
It was awesome at the dome and I will not a voice tomorrow and maybe Friday.. I am surprised that there were some people in our section that didn’t cheer at all except for goals. That Ottinger chant and pointing was pretty impressive.
That was a Team Sweden jersey she was wearing. He seemed quite surprised there was a someone in Team Sweden jersey so doubt he knew her. He grinned and made a perfect toss to her of his First Star Flames necklace.
Was watching Mangiapane's goal and noticed the slight change of angle to make sure his shot wasn't deflected before going bardownski. Dude is a legend.
