I don’t even want to make the joke because i think it was just a coincidence but it’s amazing that you take Toffoli away from Mangiapane and Backlund and they become difference makers again.
Really not sure what lines to go with for game 6 now though. Probably stay with 7D though, Stone is a help.
Thought Tanev had an incredibly rough game by his standards. He’ll be better for game 6.
He also brought a ton of life to the top line. Hot take: I think Toffoli deserves a longer look on the top unit. His skillset compliments Johnny soooo well.

I think I had a post during the second intermission where I said the Flames had an awful first 40 minutes or something and would be in trouble if that continued.
Give me that spot on the Wall of Shame. GIVE IT TO ME!!!
Pointing out the team is playing poorly or that certain players are having a bad game should not be WOS material.
It's the posts that veer from observations to conclusions that deserve it.
Sutter has no answer
This tea is weak mentally
That kind of stuff IMO

At least he kind of tried and almost scored. Chucky was even worse and was invisithornton once again tonight. Pretty concerning.
Sutter's post game it was clear he was happy with Toffoli and not so much with Tkachuk and that's why the switch was made. Sorcery how that didn't go in.

At least he stayed out of the penalty box. He was very effective but he wasn't making any terrible mistakes or putting the team in negative situations.

What a win! Most boring game ever after 2 periods. I was mad at the Stars for sucking the life out of the series. I was mad at the Flames for sucking. Hell, I was mad at the game itself for having the intensity of a mid-season game. Was honestly having visions of being on CP all angry and venting about yet another season down the drain.
Instead...feels surreal to be in this position. Hopefully the Flames can STOMP the Stars next game and put this series to rest, never to be seen again.
Also #### the Stars and their goofy 7 11 helmets.

I think he may be hurt. And not just his hand. His wheels don’t look good.
I’d like to see Tiffoli move back to the 4th line. He seemed more effective there. Saw a few times where he’s just out of breath with the top line and Gaudreau is waiting for him to do something and stay out. He’s gone to the bench early so many times, especially on that second line when Mangi is in the zone trying to make some plays. I think Tiffoli needs some big time conditioning in the post season going into training camp. Second line looked great tonight with Coleman inserted again. Tkachuk is probably better back on the first line.

Toffoli and Tkachuk stand out as guys that aren't particularly fast skaters, but their hockey sense allows them to be top players. But when they're tired, holy canoli I could beat them in a race with a pair of curling sliders on.

I did not see that at all tonight at the game. Toffoli was making pretty ineffective dumps or tips of the puck up the ice and I didn't really see any complimentary play from him to Johnny.
