The energy level is not the same as it was in game 4. Stars get a goal on a bad bounce and will try to sit and defend that, relying on Oettinger to hold the fort.

That's why I said traffic. Not just guys standing in front screening, but driving to the net when you can. Agreed there is far far too much perimeter play. Get in front, create chances and draw some penalties.

Dallas has played the same way all games. Their structure doesn't allow the Flames to gain speed into the zone or d man to join the rush.
Basically Flames have to go around and then get into the dirty zone.

And then they flip it out and just wait for a Flames mistake which they got from Tanev. And a lucky bounce off Hanifan

Team's core just don't have the heart to be a playoff team. Their play just doesn't elevate to the higher standard that's required to score.

Much harder to score against the same team over and over, rather than playing different teams each night in the regular season. Gotta force your way into the slot, handle the puck, and actually shoot the puck on net rather than missing for a million times.
