Default Benn fined for tripping in game four.

Seems like the league is doing everything possible not to suspend him.

Should of been suspended for the spear to the head on mangiapane.

That is not hockey.

Player down on the ice behind the net with a dman on top of him defenseless.

You spear him in the face.

Make up call here.

Has there ever been a player fined two games in a row for blatant cheap shots, but not suspended?

I dont normally cheer for injuries but I might start.

What a joke

I'm sure that fine will teach him a lesson. There's no way he'll do something like that again.

They also let him get away with the slew foot on Tanev, so really 3 incidents that deserved supplemental discipline, and 2 that actually received it.

At the very least, I hope this puts Dallas under the microscope by the officials for the rest of the series.

My biggest concern going into this series was Benn would not only hurt someone on the roster but he would constantly get away with illegal play.

Does Benn have dirt on the NHL or something?

And why the hell does Bowness look so indignant about it? I guess he was a dirty player too, from what I heard.

The department of player safety needs to grow a pair and suspend him. Imagine if tkachuk did either, or both, of these actions . At least a 1 game suspension, if not more.

If we are up by 3 or 4 midway through the 3rd I'd green light the big boys to destroy him!!!

I was wondering the same thing myself actually. He's been fined two games in a row.

At some point one has to realize that the fines are laughable. The behaviour continues.

I'm not going to cheer for injuries, but I wouldnt be averse to seeing Benn in Lucic's sights. Or Zadorov for that matter.

Play the game smart, play it clean, but if one of the Big Boys gets a chance to legally leave something on Benn? Take it.

At least call them correctly instead of spearing as “high sticking” and slew footing as “tripping” to try and diminish what they are.

Has anyone posted any good video of Benn's spearing through the netting?
I would like to see it.

I thought it was amazing gamesmanship for Sutter to have Looch on that first face off basically tell Benn "Hey if you want to fight someone, I'm right here." and Benn just skated away. Kinda shifted the mindset and Calgary went on to a big game.

It's funny when you watch the face off, it almost looks like Lucic was going to punch him in the face. His hand looks like it comes inches from face on the last dig for the puck.

I consoled myself because if this was Mavi, the other players would get the suspension.
