More points in fewer games than his brother in the month of April, at less than 8% of the cap hit.

I think he just wants to be in Calgary

Pretty special IMO to be able to step off the bench the way he does and be up to game speed, particularly in the playoffs. He must be a practice maniac.

Lucky to have him.

Yeah it’s sort of the perfect match for both the player and the team. What a bonus.

I imagine he’s a regular 6 next year when we lose one of Gudbransson or Zadorov.

Michael Fricking Stone!

That is all.

The Flames are so lucky to have a guy like him who can sit for months (if need be) and then just step in when needed and be a rock solid guy who actually contributes.

Is there a better, more perfect, 7th defenseman in the NHL?

I really thought that slapper that Radulov stopped was the turning point of the game. After that it really seemed that Dallas stopped blocking shots so enthusiastically and resulted in their defense opening up.

Somehow his shot keeps getting more accurate with age.

I like the 7D, if they're going to clog up the lanes, let them block that.

He's got nothing but practice time. I bet he's hammering onetimers constantly.

He shoots to puck soooo heavy that it is immediately recognizable every time he shoots. It’s wild.

The biggest thing that has changed in Stone's game IMO is the accuracy of his slap shot. In previous years it was almost a joke, 'Stone has a hard shot, too bad he can't hit the net' kind of thing. Now, he has been on target, and yesterday he was absolutely deadly. A great weapon to have on the PP.

Give him a small raise and make him the player/slapshot coach, when he's not playing he can teach the other numbskulls to hit the net with authority.

I should feel bad for screaming SUPREME CANNON when he blasted it into someone's shinpad and that person went down like they got kneecapped.

But I don't.

EDIT - oh that was Radulov haha... yup don't feel bad at all

His career shots through is 45% to Andersson's 52% he definitely looks like he's been improving on that.

He's also very good at keeping the puck in the zone. It's remarkable when a player can step in and not look out of place , have his Incredible attitude, experience and leadership qualities as well.
Hope he's here a while longer ....he's low milage and contributes a ton when he does play.

As much as I like Kylington, Stone's still better at clearing people out from the net, just based on size and strength. I think it was really smart of Sutter to go with 7D, and rotate them based on situation. It helps balance out the dcore's minutes, especially if refs continue to call so many penalties and 4 on 4s.
