The dodgers have pulled out of the Randy Johnson 3 way trade. cbssportsline.com has reported this. Hopefully Johnson can not find a way to be a Yankee, I know I'd sleep better at night.

I am not surprised by this news. I thought the Dodgers were getting the short end of the stick in the deal especially after hearing that the Dodgers would send Jaz. Ishii to the Yanks but also pay his salary.

Yeah I didn't get the deal from the Dodgers perspective. Giving up a really good hitter in Green and a solid pitcher in Penny. Didn't make sense. Wonder if Green vetoed it (did he not have a NTC)

Sounds like the Dodgers just came to their sense and backed out.

Yes, Green does have a no trade. Maybe he did veto the trade.

Found this interestinfg:

Newsday reported on its Web site Tuesday night that Vazquez did not want to play for the Dodgers and refused to travel to Los Angeles for a physical. The paper, citing a source involved in the discussions, cited that as the ''primary reason'' for the deal's collapse.
