I actually can’t believe Sutter dressed Stone. After Game 3 I wanted him in the lineup for his shot on PP2, but not really at the expense of Kylington (even though he’s been a bit overmatched in his own zone), and I thought there was zero chance he would dress 7 D.

Well, lo and behold, he dressed 7 D.

So stoked that was absolutely clinical. All night. Dallas had a couple chances but Marky was so solid, played like the elite tender he is.

Flames DOMINATED that game.

First game where I really had that playoff feeling watching it. I felt awfully nervous for most of the game.

At five on five, Flames are fantastic.

Was going to mention this in the GT but I noped out of that in the 1st once it started to fill with toxic negativity as usual, but huge kudos to Michael Stone. I don't know how he does it but he consistently will sit for however many games and then come in and not look out of place at all. Guy was releasing bombs from the point in the 1st regularly.

I’m in more of a conundrum. Wore my 2003-04 jersey for games 1 and 2. No jersey game 3. Retro jersey tonight. Next game what do I do?

Options: 03-04 (blasty shoulder), retro or Heritage Classic Iginla. Also in the mix: 2016 Hamilton (but I’m planning to get that one relettered).

Stone did exactly what he needed to do, kudos to him

Thought Lucic and Toffoli had some solid shifts together

Said it in the GT, the Flames won with physicality.

That was the best playoff game the Flames have played since 04.
2015 game 6 vs Van and game 3 vs Anaheim were still better but that was a dominant win.

The Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman line completely changed the team's possession game in a trickle down/up manner

Maybe his playoff career.
This is the best Johnny has ever played in a playoff game. He found his swagger, held the puck and attacked with confidence.
Let's hope this opens the floodgates for him to keep going like that, knowing he can.

Always liked Stone in the lineup as he doesn’t try to get cute, just plays hard, shoots hard, and is usually a SOG. No BS, I like it. Do it again please!

The penalty killing was very impressive in this game. All the guys showed total dedication to keeping the puck out of danger. They made it very hard on the Stars trying to get any clean chances in the highest danger areas.

Nearly 6 expected goals for. 2nd best offensive performance by a team in the playoffs since the bubble.

Oettinger kept the stars from being laughed out of the rink.

Expecting the Flames to slump into game 5. But they should be able to finish this.

100% this. You need to be able to win tight games like this. And be confident in your ability to come back when down in a series.

This one is far from over. But I agree, it’s good for the team to go through this.

This is like the 2020 series in reverse. Flames have been all over the Stars and finally break thru in game 4. Flames keep playing like this and they'll win this in 6.
