It's awful similar however to the 2017 Ducks series where Gibson goalie'd us four games in a row The difference being Markstrom has been better than Elliott and there's no Bartkowski-Engelland disaster.

How though? What evidence has this team provided that they have another gear these playoffs?

I’d love to believe Johnny, Chucky, Toffoli, Coleman, Backs, Mangi and Dube will all magically come alive next game and we’ll win 3 in a row but there’s zero reason to believe that’ll happen based on their performances in games 1-3.

The good thing is that we still have our 2023 1st, because we are going to need it.

Honestly an awesome game to watch despite the result. Thought we were the better team, We’re definitely not out of this series. Johnny and Elias were great. Thought the 4th line played strong, Lucic had a great game. I thought Mangi and Dube were strong. And I noticed Kylington making some great offensive plays despite sometimes looking like he’s trying to do too much in the defensive zone. I actually thought he was playing forward at one point in the last ten minutes of the third.

With that said Tkachuk is playing stunned. He hasn’t done anything since first period of game 1. Backlund has the puck dying on his stick a lot, and Toffoli looks like he is playing injured. I’d like to try Dube on his spot on the first PP unit. Jarnkrok was brought in to provide some strong D and some mid level offence has been a failure so far.

I’m feeling fairly calm that this team can even this series. Need some puck luck and a few others to step up.

Join the club. I’ve been saying this for a while. Ruzicka brings more to the table.

Markstrom got out-duelled. Not a single bounce. Same middle-6 combos that don't work. Tkachuk MIA in the playoffs again.

I thought regular season reffing was bad. Flames outplayed Dallas. A couple posts and the refs calling every ticky tacky thing they could find on the Flames was the difference.

Down 2-1, right where we want them!

Tough not to have Gaudreau score there, especially as it was a miscue on Dallas' part. We just don't seem to have the game-breaking players that is needed at big moments unfortunately. Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Lindholm... despite their year and success, just doesn't seem to have it?

Lots of hockey left for them to prove us all wrong though!

Darryl Sutter has forgotten more about hockey than I'll ever know.

But if Darryl Sutter can't see that 73/11/88 does NOT work together and change it up next game he deserves to be back at the ranch next week with his team eliminated.
I agree. They have been together for quite a while, and have done nothing. Can't believe they're still together

Yes its an idiotic opinion.

He has a 1.33 GAA in the series and a 94.2% SVP.
People that said dumb stuff about Markstrom at the start of the season are trying to justify their terrible takes. Will be top five in Vezina voting, maybe a finalist.

They have scored three goals

Honestly pay Gaudreau, can't lose him.

But I'd rather trade Tkachuk than give him 10 million and buyout Monahan.

Your opinion is idiotic. What are the other guy's numbers? It's funny that mods can throw that word around here... Homer's lol.

Watch goals 2 and 3. Then watch the lone breakaway of the game.

The flames had over 5 xGF tonight. They got goalied, again. They only had over 5 xGF 4 times in the regular season.

Just ####ing classic how this keeps happening.

On faceoffs and offense, Backlund hasn’t shown up as a second line Center in this series. Toffoli acquisition is looking like a dud so far too despite the playoff acumen.

Kylington gets manhandled pretty easily, especially if the opposition puts a big forward against him. With Stone coning in, it also brings that point shot. Bring in Stone and Ruzicka. Sit Kylington and Tiffoli.

it's because of the sweater. They would be contributing on different teams right now.

some franchises are doomed to fail, the Flames being one of them.
