Considering how important scoring goals is to winning, I’m not sure it’s fair to say the flames were the better team. They were statistically better in many areas but not in the ones that count.

Well if this trend keeps up at least Gaudreau and Tkachuk will be cheap to re sign.

Genuinely think they'd be having trouble against any team from the AHL right now. Dallas isn't out playing the Flames, the Flames just have the mental fortitude of a 5 year old.

I sure hope the flames don’t give up like the majority of their fan base. Every single Stanley cup winner goes through adversity. This is it. The next game is do or die. Defeat the adversity or drop like a rock.
The part that makes no sense is that we are getting beat in the physical side of the game. We are a huge team and have won those battles all year. We have to punish them physically and wear them down. We didn’t wear anyone down tonight - not even rail boy klingberg.

Man, that's a tough loss. If the Flames end up losing the series, I'm guessing we might see a complete tear down and rebuild after this. The core of this team just doesn't seem to have what it takes to compete at this time of year, even with an elite coach at the helm. Pretty frustrating after the terrific season we had.
That being said, there's still plenty of time to turn this thing around, but these guys are really gonna have to dig deep and elevate their game if they want this series to go the distance. I'm skeptical that they have the mental fortitude to do that, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
