It's almostlike the refs have a stopwatch to remember to call a dumb penalty every minute or so. 22 minutes worth of penalties so far tonight.

Calgary’s 2nd and 3rd lines need to show up here. Almost 3 full games and not a single goal from either line.

Give Sutter a reason to stop playing the 4th line.

They’ve also seen 4x as many goals in 1/3rd of the time. That helps.

Nothing to do with the quality of the crowd. This game has simply been more engaging.

Lots of bitching about the forwards, but I am wondering when we are going to see some of the defense make their presence known. Have not noticed Gudbranson. Andersson and Hanifin need to join in the offense.

Good news is, at 5 on 5, the Flames have 8 HDCF after 40 mins compared to just 5 last game. Bad news is Dallas has 16 compared to 5 last game.

I might be wrong, but I think the Flames are outplaying the Stars in this series. The scores in the games flatter the Stars. The Flames certainly haven't played their best hockey, but the Stars are likely playing their best and its at best even. A few of the Flames' hits on posts from earlier go in and its a different game.

This stars team had the worst goal differential of all playoff teams (-8).. I guess leave it to the flames (+85) to completely choke and make a series of it.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sure hoping that the cbc/snet can find a way to show pavelski’s goal again. I’m not sure if I’ve seen the same angle enough times yet.

I also learned that a slewfoot is called “taking down”.
