In a confounding anti consumer and anti capitalist move, virtually all posters teams release on social media are not available for purchase.
I’ve always thought it was bizarre and stupid. Races should be treated like a concert. Who wouldn’t want a poster to commemorate? You could even have special edition versions that are more rare than the regular version with holographic foil and ####. I have some Emek and NC Winters concert posters that are quite valuable. Not to mention incredibly cool.
That being said, some are available here. Just not the Haas one.
I think it's ridiculous, and the decision around forcing an F1 race where it doesn't really make sense is pretty silly, but it's not like I'm mad about it, it's funny. F1 is full of ridiculousness, and this is just another example. I can't see this ever becoming some traditional well loved destination on the calendar, but we will see how the racing goes, as that's all that really matters.
Lets face it though, the water thing should have been shot down and laughed out of the decision room. Reminds me of something West Edmonton Mall would have.
Ultimately all I care about is the racing. It’ll likely be better than Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Monaco, Sochi, Spain, Saudi Arabia. Probably even Imola.
F1 has way to many crappy race tracks that produce snooze fest races. And if all the races above, only Monaco is half decent because of qualifying and how historic the track is. All the rest could be dropped tomorrow and F1 would be better off from a racing perspective. Well, except for the money part and we all know cash is king.
Holly crap, F1 just got mentioned on sportsnet. Hell has officially frozen over. This must be the first time F1 has ever been mentioned on that network.
So with the new scrutineering declaration form now including bits confirming adherence to "Article 2 concerning compliant underwear and Article 5 concerning the wearing of jewellery", will we see FIA handing out penalties for this race, or will it be a toothless nothing burger?
I'm not sure about this track. FP1 seemed like a full feeling out process with the cars. The straights are really long and that tight section is wayyyyy too tight.
Albon in P7 is solid, but likely not indicative (Latifi was a mere 3.8s behind Albon). The Mercs look genuinely better as well, but Russell outclassed Hamilton. Maybe losing his favourite ring/earring/watch/piercing has him off his game...
RBR looks like they have some cooling issues for both the car and Max...he was not a happy camper after being called in.
